Entelechy
has developed an effective way to help organizations and individuals
answer these critical questions. Based on valid, reliable principles
of cognitive psychology (the study of how thinking affects our
behavior), Entelechy's educational process teaches people how
to release individual and collective potential by identifying
and changing the things that inhibit and block high performance;
both personally and professionally.
Entelechy's
clients are taught the principles of creating positive, lasting
change by embracing change from the inside out, beginning with
their people. Employees begin by learning the skills necessary
to recognize the invisible barriers of habits, attitudes, beliefs
and expectations. Once they are recognized, they can be altered.
Invariably, this alteration is seen not only as possible, but
also as desirable and energizing. Change in behavior automatically
results from change in thought processes. And when individuals
change the way they think and behave, change in the behavior and
performance of an organization naturally follows.
By equipping
your employees with the tools to deal effectively with externally
imposed changes, both personally and professionally, and to cause
their own internal changes, they begin to see themselves differently.
They feel empowered to take charge, and they feel accountable
for their own actions and the results they produce.
For yourself
for your employees
for management
for leadership...
The
Entelechy Way provides a proven-effective process for sustainable
positive change
within an organization or team.
The Entelechy Way [BACK
TO TOP]
Summary
1.
The Ten Principles of Entelechy Seminar [BACK
TO TOP]
This is the cornerstone of The Entelechy Way
Process. The seminar curriculum is designed to build a strong
foundation that can then be applied in many areas, such as teamwork,
communication, consensus building, innovative problem solving,
and facilitative leadership. It is used as a jumping off place
and useful common language based on shared values throughout the
process.
The
Ten Principles educational process
begins with a 16-hour seminar, followed by a two-week personal
practice period guided by an audio program. The seminar curriculum
focuses on teaching participants how to accept accountability
for and successfully manage their own lives, how to deal more
effectively with change in their personal and professional environments,
and how to enhance their personal creativity and energy, as well
as that of the entire group. Most importantly, participants develop
a clear understanding of how their thoughts shape and determine
their own futures. At the conclusion of this education, participants:
- understand
how beliefs affect and control behavior;
- know
how to change limiting beliefs into useful attitudes;
- realize
how change affects most people and know how to minimize their
own down-time when adjusting to the new;
- accept
complete accountability for their own success and happiness;
- are
able to use creative imagery to help them achieve personal and
organizational goals.
2.
Leadership Diagnostic [BACK
TO TOP]
"Once we've walked a mile in your shoes,
there's no telling how far you'll go."
This step
focuses on identifying the issues and underlying thought pattern/behaviors
that are holding your organization/team back from unprecedented,
record breaking performance. In order to achieve a successful
implementation, which means achieving targeted results/benefits,
we need to understand the dynamics (strengths, weaknesses, style,
culture, and current as well as long-term challenges) of your
organization or team. Most commonly, we do this through candid,
confidential conversation and survey questions.

The Ten Principles of Entelechy Leadership Seminar
[BACK
TO TOP]
This step involves presenting the cornerstone
curriculum to the leadership team and soliciting frank, constructive
feedback.
4.
Leadership/Facilitator Training [BACK
TO TOP]
This is a special seminar designed to train
selected staff to facilitate The Ten Principles seminar to employees
and do so in a way that advances organizational objectives. At
the conclusion of the training, participants:
- are
able to properly present and facilitate The Ten Principles
of Entelechy to others inside your organization;
- feel
accountable for the successful implementation of the Entelechy
Process within your organization. In addition to The Ten
Principles of Entelechy seminar, this implementation most
often includes
- introductory
seminars/workshops/publicity,
- follow-up
seminars/workshops,
- and
activities that stimulate creative integration into organizational
processes and ongoing application of the principles learned
in the seminar.
- understand
how to incorporate facilitation skills into their communication
and management style
More specifically,
the training ensures that participants are able to:
- identify
the skills and techniques needed to properly facilitate, i.e.,
role, style, effective use of questions, group dynamics, nonjudgmental
listening, etc.;
- effectively
use these skills to facilitate sales meetings, conflict resolution,
interdepartmental cooperation and communication, etc.;
- master
the five-step process used to present each Principle;
- demonstrate
that understanding by planning and presenting an assigned unit
in a setting that simulates the facilitator's actual environment;
- demonstrate
knowledge of the affirmation/visualization process through participation
in an Affirmation Workshop;
- demonstrate
ability to execute certain awareness exercises and activities
in a classroom setting;
- demonstrate
familiarity with and ability to use collateral material;
- identify
and communicate the value of the audio assimilation package
and other follow-up training designed to reinforce the basic
curriculum.
5.
The Ten Principles of Entelechy seminar: In-house facilitation
to the entire organization. [BACK
TO TOP]
In this step, the curriculum is rolled out to
all employees.
6.
Building the Vision Workshop [BACK
TO TOP]
Organizations implementing plans for continuous
quality improvement or any other change process often fall short
of achieving full success for a simple but profound reason: poor
articulation of the vision at the top, resulting in lack of middle
management and employee buy-in and commitment. Using the concepts
learned in the preceding workshops and seminars, the organization
now develops a set of strategically sound goals.
The Vision
Building process focuses The Ten Principles key concepts
and thinking skills on effective short- and long-range planning.
This process enables you and your people to make bold choices
that have a high probability of success. This session captures
the energy, drive, creativity, and enthusiasm generated by the
vision building process and channels them into specific action
plans and clear accountability paths.
7.
Keeping the Momentum Alive [BACK
TO TOP]
Continuous improvement throughout the organization
is a mindset that must be sustained. Questions that are most often
considered and answered during this step, include:
- Do we
want to measure results and, if so, how?
- How
do we prevent the roller-coaster effect, i.e., climbing rapidly
to a new high of productivity and energy, which soon levels
off and may even disappear?
- What
activities can we offer, support, and encourage that help people
to continue to creatively apply what they have learned in The
Ten Principles seminar?
- What
are the best ways to integrate The Ten Principles and The Entelechy
Way into our organizational style and culture?
Overall
timing and spacing of seminars and related activities will depend
on how aggressive you want to be. Our plans will allow for flexibility.
As changes occur, they will be incorporated into the implementation
process.
